Similar to Minecraft, I think it would be really nice to have different profiles for different sets of mods! I have a LOT of mods and CC that I got before CurseForge became the hub, and I'd really like to have separate instances so I can keep one that has those mods/CC from before, all neat and organized in the folder structure I've been using, and ones with mods/CC that I get from CurseForge and the app can organize it however it wants to!
It would also be great for doing different styles of gameplay. Players could have one instance where they use all Maxis Match CC that all fits in perfectly with the game, and one where they use Alpha-style replacements and make everything hyperrealistic! Then players don't have to go and manually add/remove everything when they wanna switch styles.
This is definitely in our plans! Thank you for taking the time to explain your feedback. There's not ETA at the moment but profiles makes complete sense here and it's something we intend to add.

Adding another reason why this would be useful and popular: The Sims 4 Multiplayer Mod requires all users to have the exact same mods. If Curseforge creates a feature that allows people to share their mods loadouts this will cause an influx of new Curseforge users to join.
Well, I remember seeing a tutorial at one point for installing the game in a different location and having it read said location for mods. If that actually works, then maybe they could utilize that? Especially since they're working directly with EA on this.
While I love this idea, I'm wondering about the logistics of this since for the minecraft modpacks, curseforge has to create an entirely new .minecraft folder every time. Considering sims is like, 50g, i don't know how that would work 😬
