As any Sims 4 players with a tonne of CC can attest to, merging them into as few package files as possible can do a wonder for loading times, but doing so requires manual work in both tracking mod updates and rebuilding the package files whenever one updates. I think that if Curseforge added the ability to create groups of CC the user has downloaded and have them merged into a single package upon installion to the game it'd be a big net gain for the Sims 4 community as it'd largely automate the processes of keeping track of which mod updated and which package file you need to remake as a result.
The only pitfall is that some mods (Mostly script mods) aren't able to be merged without introducing new bugs, problems or straight-out breaking everything unless the user does some extra work, although I think this could be resolved by allowing the mod authors to specify if their mods mergable or not when uploading.
When there's a new update for a mod, you update it through the app and it replaces the old one. You don't need to manually update. If you meant something different/more, please explain :]

If your idea already exists, vote for it, this will increase the chances for the idea to become reality. Duplicate ideas only split and lower votes
This board is for new ideas and feature suggestions, for technical issues or bug reports, visit/contact CurseForge Support
This ensures that the idea is accessible to a wider audience and makes it easier for others to understand and vote for the idea
Any ideas posted with foul language will not be published and get deleted
Avoid posting 'lists' of different ideas, we won't be able to address them with a proper status and they will get less votes from others, each idea should have its own post
Posts with multiple ideas can not be merged and prevent us from opening these posts for upvotes
Sadly merging package files rarely actually inproves load speed as the amount of data is the same, just in fewer, bigger files. 300gb of data is read at the same speed in 10 000 files as it is in 10 files
Merging files often makes it harder to troubleshoot errors if you need to go to a support discord for help.
A 'modpack' style approach where mods are grouped together could be useful as long as multiple groups can be used at the same time.
