Custom Profile Option to Create a Duplicate Profile using Different Game Version

It would be great if there was a Minecraft profile option under the "..." button that would do the following:

  1. Allow the user to click the "..." button within a profile.

  2. Choose "Choose New Profile Version." This option would:

  3. Bring up a window similar to the "Create Custom Profile" one that allows the user to select a new game version and modloader version etc.

  4. The app would automatically search the database for all mods, resource packs, etc. that exist for the newly specified game version.

  5. Present the user with a list of all mods & resources that do exist and those that are not available for that game version, and options to "Cancel" or "Duplicate & Change Game Version".

  6. When the "Duplicate & Change Game Version" button is pressed, a new custom profile is created with the specified game version, modloader, and mods/resources that are available for it.

Essentially, this would allow users to upgrade and downgrade modpacks easily to different Minecraft versions.

Came here to suggest this exact same thing, but you put it into better words than I could. I just get tired of going from one custom pack to new custom pack trying to figure which mods I've added to the new pack that were on the old pack.

Hold on!
