SUMMARY: Currently, Curseforge's search sorts search results by popularity rather than relevancy, this means if you search for a mod, more popular mods with similar names will appear higher on the search results, infuriating searchers looking for specific mods.
EXPLANATION AND WHAT I WANT FIXED: Curseforge's search results are ordered by popularity currently, so if I search for "Just Zoom", "Just Enough Items (JEI)" will display higher on the results list because it's more popular. I (and many other annoyed Curseforge users) want this to be changed to sort mods by relevancy to the search keywords, based on the best match.
This would help Curseforge users find mods they actually want to use, perhaps if they had discovered it online in a YouTube video or heard about it and want to add it to a modpack. Under the current system, it would be really hard for them to find that mod in the search, even if they searched for an exact match of the name.
The current system also punishes new mod(pack) authors, as they need to make increasingly unique (and irrelevant) names for their mod(pack)s for people to find their mod(pack)s on the search.
