At the moment mod authors are adding discord links to their mods as a wiki or a place to report bugs/ideas. This means you are forced to use Discord and add channels to your account that you may only use once or twice only to remove it after or forget about it (basically making Discord a requirement to use the site). This may only seem like a minor inconvenience but what happens when people start linking bad Discord servers and users add it only to have their account banned for being on a server that violated TOS? Furthermore, just because the discord server wasn't doing anything that broke TOS when you added it does not mean it will remain that way (not everyone removes them right away after reporting the bug or viewing the info the way I do). A solution to the problem would be to ban the Discord links altogether but add a feature that will send a message to mod authors on Discord when there is a reply/bug report for the mod they posted. While the mod authors may not like the idea after looking at the facts mentioned above it is clear it should be done for the safety and sanity of everyone...
Note: I tried posting this already and it did not show up on a search afterward. This led me to believe my noscript addon blocked it from going through. So I am trying again with NoScript disabled hoping that helps.
Edit/Update: the problem was not my addon Apparently there was a message but it was tiny and at the top of the screen where no one would see it. So I have edited 1 of the duplicate suggestions to make it suggest changing the text that tells you to verify making it more noticeable somehow (make it bigger, highlight, make it pop up in the center of the screen, or have it redirect users to a page that is blank except for that 1 message)

This board is being moderated, if you wish for your idea(s) to go public, please consider the following:
If your idea already exists, vote for it, this will increase the chances for the idea to become reality. Duplicate ideas only split and lower votes
This board is for new ideas and feature suggestions, for technical issues or bug reports, visit/contact CurseForge Support
This ensures that the idea is accessible to a wider audience and makes it easier for others to understand and vote for the idea
Any ideas posted with foul language will not be published and get deleted
Avoid posting 'lists' of different ideas, we won't be able to address them with a proper status and they will get less votes from others, each idea should have its own post
Posts with multiple ideas can not be merged and prevent us from opening these posts for upvotes
Maybe just automatically enable chat so creators don't force their users to go to discord to report a bug. I hate joining a discord to just report a bug.
