Add a shotcut, of the modpacks like in minecraft to the desktop.
It is really usefull if u dont want to have to browse through all the app, it would make opening my modpack easly, and i guess lots of people could like this, thanks for reading.

A little shortcut that opens the mod pack you want from your library but on your desktop or taskbar
Merged clicking it is like clicking the play button on the mod pack but it opens the game (in my case Minecraft) and has it ready to play. so it would be like instead of { Curseforge-->Mod Pack --> Minecraft Launcher--> Game } it would be{ Open ...0 Not planned

Merged I could right click modpack and then there would be a option to add a shortcut to desktop. It would be easier and faster to open a modpack from desktop.0 Not planned

mannn i want this too, kind of annoying to have to open curseforge, then navigate to my mod pack, then press play, then wait for the MINECRAFT launcher to open, and then press play AGAIN and finally wait for minecraft to load and startup, its just so much of a hassle

Hard agree with what others are saying. Claiming a lack of demand is a lie, there are MULTIPLE suggestions of the same thing and this one alone has 50 votes. It's 100% about the ads. That's fine, the ads are more important than user experience, but at the very least admit it. Don't lie about it like a bunch of scaredy-cats. Either stand by your decision 100%, or make a different decision.
We aren't idiots. We can tell when y'all are just giving a fake reason and it just makes things even more annoying than they have to be.

In all likelihood, this continuing counterfeature is motivated by the fact that a direct shortcut would result in fewer ads in faces (by letting us bypass the launcher, or at least spend less time looking at it), and has nothing to do with the fundamental functionality or the imagined lack of demand.
It's understandable. We're not throwing them any coins. They need to keep the lights on.

so 40+ votes and the fact that most game launchers make shortcuts for the games the have ain't enough? Is it not easy to just add a single command line option to your app that allows a shortcut(or command) to open the app and launch the mod-pack with the specified name(or uuid)?

not enough demand for something so basic? pretty sure it would be greatly appreachiated by alot of people only 90%+ dont bother to post about it on forums or suggestions.. its 2023, why is this not standard for every launcher xD surely it can't be that time consuming to implement.
