Changing the version of Minecraft Merged

For Minecraft It would be very helpful if you could just change the version of you game to for example 1.20.1 to 1.21.1. Even though you're usually playing a big modpack like Better MC or ATM where you don't need to change versions up or down for survival modpacks it would be nice to just update the modpack. You can technically update it, but you have to create a whole new modpack then switch the world to that new modpack from the old one which just takes so much time and effort.
