Disable Curseforge forcing Java version

I would like to see an option added into Curseforge specifically for Minecraft to disable the automatic download and launch of specific Java versions for Minecraft. At this current time, even if you manually change the version of Java Minecraft launches within the Minecraft launcher itself, and skipping the Java runtime check, when you close and relaunch Minecraft Curseforge overwrites any changes you make.


I ask for this because there are performance issues with some Java versions, in my case Java 17, and forcing Minecraft to launch with Java 21 fixes these issues, but it's inconvenient to have to adjust these settings every single time I wish to play. With the freedom of modding Curseforge brings to Minecraft I'd also like the freedom of choosing my Java version, just like we do with RAM allocation.
