This would be super helpful in troubleshooting. Is the problem I'm seeing now related to a recently isntalled addon? Almost certainly. So...what addons did I install over this last week.
With curseforge only showing the addon-updated date, this is hard to figure out.
A specific scenario is:
Install a mod, not always, but sometime alongside a few others.
No obvious problem noted while gaming
Mods update including long-installed mods, curseforge is now showing only the date of the update on all mods, not installation
Install another mod or mods
Problems encountered. It would be helpful to see which mod(s) were isntalled most recently
Curseforge only shows a bulk of mods, some in long standing use, as updated -- along side those same recently installed mods. No easy way of figuring out what was installed by the user when.
Frequently, I try to gather this information in Windows Explorer and sorting by date created (in windows explorer) to get a sense of what was installed when.
If CurseForge could maintain an internal tracker of when the user installed the mod ALONGSIDE when the mod was updated - as a second column, perhaps even optional - this would help troubleshooting by letting me focus on addons most recently added.
I'm honestly not sure how you're even managing to do that dude.
Are you even using formatting or?
Well the only place where an install date would make sense is the list of installed mods in a modpack no?
Basically just another sorting option to the content tab of a modpack.
If this is added finding the most recently changed mod and undoing mistakes would be so much easier.
Hi there :)
Can you please provide more information? In what specific section would you want that sorting option?
Yes. Been baffled that Thunderstore has it but Curseforge doesn't. PLEEEEASE! Thank you for your time.
This would help people like me be able to solve problems SO MUCH EASIER.
This would greatly so many of my binary searches!
I often install batches of mods and it's hard to keep track of which are new and which are fine.
I honestly have to rely on opening the mods folder sorting by date modified and then searching them in the app one by one.
