This way modpacks who are currently stuck in certain versions (due to the creator of the mod not updating that mod to a more recent version, simply because they can't, won't or aren't working on the mod anymore). It also allows for mixing between more mods that normally wouldn't be able to interact due to them functioning on different versions.

This board is for new ideas and feature suggestions, for technical issues or bug reports, visit/contact CurseForge Support
This ensures that the idea is accessible to a wider audience and makes it easier for others to understand and vote for the idea
Any ideas posted with foul language will not be published and get deleted
Avoid posting 'lists' of different ideas, we won't be able to address them with a proper status and they will get less votes from others, each idea should have its own post
I'm very well aware that implementing it is going to be very challenging, but if this becomes a thing, it's going to be very useful when creating modpacks
There is a reason modpack devs spend months developing modpacks. Often the interactions between mods are completely different across versions. I'm not saying I wouldn't like this. Its just a implementation nightmare to get this to work.
