It would be nice to be able to select a specific element (mod, resourcepack, ect) and click a "lock" button to remove the "update" button from "outdated" mods to prevent potential misclicking. Not a super useful or necessary addition, but nice if you want to prevent accidents or have one specific mod you need to not update (some mods are only compatible with outdated versions of others, and I dont mean MC version I mean mod version). Would be nice to be able to do this without locking the entire modpack because that can get annoying
This board is being moderated, if you wish for your idea(s) to go public, please consider the following:

This ensures that the idea is accessible to a wider audience and makes it easier for others to understand and vote for the idea
Any ideas posted with foul language will not be published and get deleted
Avoid posting 'lists' of different ideas, we won't be able to address them with a proper status and they will get less votes from others, each idea should have its own post
the correct term for this is "version pinning". and it should be top priority for a module based system like curseforge/minecraft. you can borrow/adapt from python pip requirements file's approach, as that already does most the job. such as: Create=="5.1.J", etc. then parse it out to update the UI with a lock icon or something.
Suggested refinement is "version pinning" could be indicated with a thumbtack icon or something that locks it in place. Several mods in my mod pack cannot be updated or it breaks something else.
