Add Mods to a modpack you've installed. This would not change the public state of the Modpack

You see, whenever I install a modpack I usually check for certain mods that will crash my pc or enhance my performance when I see mods that will crash my pc I can't just get rid of them, and when I don't see mods that ENHANCE my performance I can't put them into the modpack
