Stop force feeding the app on the file download page (beta)

I have the app. I use the app. I like it and will continue to use it to download and manage mods for my client.
However, I am not using the website to manage a client. I am gathering or updating mods for a server where I wish to handpick versions and download the file.
This process would be far more streamlined if the download did not open in a new window and the download button had not been removed in favour of an install via the app button.
It also appears that the tags that a developer could add to show modloader and compatible game versions have been removed. This makes finding the version you want more difficult, given that the version and modloader filter drop downs don't seem to function correctly, regularly displaying versions that should not appear in the selected filter.
Given that the name of the file is the most reliable means of knowing what version you are downloading, the name column on the files page could be wider to allow reading without hovering in more cases.

Thanks for writing about your ideas, it would be better if you keep each idea to a single post. Sometimes some of the ideas are already in planning / some can't be done so we can't give your post an accurate status/response if you list several ideas.
It's also better to check if some of your ideas already exist on the portal (all of them do), and vote for those so they have a higher count.
