Make it possible to update a modpack from a ZIP. I think It should just wipe current mod jars and add the ones from zip, no need to wipe other files but overwrite. Maybe have an option like "don't overwrite configs" when updating from a zip.

This feature allows up to make an easy private modpack update system for just a couple friends instead of having to upload the pack, wait for it to be approved, if it even gets approved and then tell your friends to update that, or even having to keep a list of changes then uploading those seperately and telling your friends to somehow understand how to delete and replace the files...
I have to agree on this idea, at least do something very similar, maybe where the ZIP updates the mods and configs like downloading a modpack would, or have it open a screen allowing the user to select which folders to override just like you select which folders to export.
Sure, more hand-holding auto-updating for you noobs.
@Team Overwolf. I hate having to reset my settings everytime with minecraft. If we could update the zip file it could slove this too.
Losing every mods configuration each time you import a new version of your private modpack is a pain in the ass. Please add this feature
What would the difference be from using the Import feature?
If the modpack is public and on CurseForge you can simply use the 'Update' button for specific mods or the modpack in its entirety.
Please add further detail if you think we didn't understand this feedback :)
Perhaps allow the user to select some mods they do not want to be removed such as clientside mods like journey map and waila
