Duplications because of the Updating proccess

First of all, I've read ideas about mods scanning to avoid duplications. My idea is not about that, it's connected to the duplications made by the CurseForge app itself.

As I understand, at the moment the Update process just downloads the newest version.

If all folders and files in the newest version are the same as before (I mean the same list of files, the same names, etc.) - everything will be fine. The app will just download that newest files and replace the previous.

But if modder adds a version number in the folder/files names - CurseForge will just download the newest version. So player will have TWO version of the same mod at the same moment.

F.e.: "[Modder] Super Mod v2.1.1\<files..>" and "[Modder] Super Mod v2.1.2\<files..>". Or blablabla_1.3.package and blablabla_1.4.package. Etc.

It could cause problems if player has no idea about that and won't check and manually delete the old versions.

My suggestion:

Modify the Update prosess. CurseForge app knows which version of the mod has been installed. So it could start the updating from the deleting that the previous version. It could help to avoid duplicationg and won't force modders to do anything with files name.
