So when adding more mods to the minecraft modpack, in most of the cases I don't care about already installed mods, so would like to filter them out (exclude them). This will increase productivity when there are 200+ mods and more so when 300+ mods, as this would remove the need of scrolling for a minute or so.

I don't know about this. I personally am having an issue where sometimes If I install a mod it will delete a different one. And This idea would probably make me confused as to which mod got uninstalled. Then I would have to spend the next 30 min to 1 hour finding which one it was.
