When minecraft modpacks push a new update out for you to update your pack to it's always a good idea to update to a separate modpack profile in case something goes wrong. I've noticed when doing this though that the settings from my profile are not carried over (video settings, controls, Music & sound volume) and I find it inconvenient. There is a workaround though, cloning your current profile carries those settings over to the new one which you can then update so you end up with an updated separate profile with all your settings in tact.
This post is asking for the "Update to a separate modpack profile" option when updating your modpack to also carry over your minecraft game settings like the "Close as" option does.
