Target: CurseForge Desktop Application – "Add More Content" Interface

Overview

To enhance the workflow for modders and players, it is proposed that a dedicated Favorites tab be integrated directly into the "Add More Content" section of the CurseForge application. This feature would allow users to curate, organize, and quickly install their preferred content without repetitive searching.

1. Strategic Placement & Navigation

The feature should be seamlessly integrated into the existing UI to maintain a clean aesthetic, as seen in the current "Add More Content" layout (reference: image_1e3603.png).

• Integrated Filter: A new "★ Favorites" option should be added to the primary category dropdown menu (currently where "Mods" is selected).

• Contextual Awareness: The Favorites list should automatically respect the user's active profile filters, such as Game Version (e.g., 1.7.10) and Mod Loader (e.g., Forge), as shown in image_1e3603.png.

• One-Click Installation: Items in the Favorites tab must retain the "Install" button functionality for immediate deployment into the active modpack.

2. Organized Categorization

To prevent clutter, the Favorites tab should support sub-filters to organize saved content by type:

• Elimination of Redundant Searches: Users no longer need to remember complex project names; their "library of choice" is always one click away.

• Project Planning: Allows for the "bookmarking" of mods during the discovery phase to be installed later during the building phase.

• Cross-Platform Sync: Favorites marked on the CurseForge website should automatically synchronize and appear within the Desktop App.

• Efficient Testing: Simplifies the process of switching between different favorite textures or utility mods during performance testing.
