created/downloaded modpacks being backed up to account, to provide same modpacks reliably existing between different computers

ive recently gotten a new laptop, and am exciting to get back to modded minecraft, however non of my modpacks are available unless i go back into my old computer and import them from there. adding a feature that allows your personal modpacks to be backed up to your profile would be time efficient and reliable for people who are getting new devices by saving these people the time to go back to their old devices and import.

A killer new laptop should be all about the frame rate gains, not the headache of manual file transfers. It’s wild that in 2026 we still have to "import/export" like it's the early 2000s. surgecard The launchers are definitely lagging behind on this. Honestly, a simple "cloud manifest" attached to our accounts would save so much time. Until they catch up, I usually just zip my instances and toss them on Google Drive, but it's a clunky fix for a problem that shouldn't exist.

That’s a really thoughtful feature idea. Right now, modpacks you create or download are stored locally, so moving to a new computer means manually importing them. Having them backed up to your account would greensky-online make switching devices seamless—your personal modpacks would always be available, synced across machines without extra steps. It would save time, reduce frustration, and ensure consistency for players who upgrade hardware or play on multiple setups.
