I’m currently putting together a Minecraft modpack using Fabric 1.21.4, and I’ve noticed two areas where the CurseForge App could improve the user experience.
1. Smarter Mod Compatibility Detection
When I browse for mods, the app often marks them as “incompatible” because they are set to use a different modloader by default (e.g., Forge). However, if I open the mod’s page, scroll down through the available versions, and manually select the correct Fabric 1.21.4 version, I can actually install it without any issue.
Since the app already knows which Minecraft version and modloader my modpack uses, it should automatically check whether a compatible file for that modloader and version exists — and then offer to install that version directly — instead of immediately showing that the mod is incompatible.
2. Persistent Modpack Navigation
After installing a mod, the app always sends me back to the modpack’s main menu. It would be much smoother if the app kept me on the same page or search view I was in, so I can continue browsing and adding mods without constantly having to navigate back to where I was.
These two changes would make modpack creation much faster, more intuitive, and far less repetitive.
