Suggestion: Official Flatpak Version of CurseForge for Linux
Hello CurseForge team,
I’d like to suggest the development of an official Flatpak version of your application for Linux. Currently, CurseForge is distributed as an AppImage, but most modern Linux distributions have built-in Flatpak and Flathub support, making installation and updates much more convenient.
Why would Flatpak be beneficial?
✅ Better integration with modern Linux distributions.
✅ Easier updates thanks to Flathub’s centralized package management.
✅ Automatic dependency handling, reducing manual setup.
✅ Enhanced security and compatibility due to Flatpak sandboxing.
An official Flatpak version would make it significantly easier for Linux users to install, update, and use CurseForge without the need for manual configuration of AppImage files. Is this something you might consider in the future?
Thanks for all your hard work—I’m excited to see future improvements!
