Help shape the future of CurseForge!

Talk to us

Curseforge in the past has been well known for not being a talkative bunch when it came to informing the site users about things. We have seen features just poof into existence without a single word from anyone and no explanation of how it works. Please don't leave the users in the dark about stuff.

    Here's an idea. There could be two settings in the user preferences that allow you to select how you want release notes:

    1. Delivery

      1. Popup on Update (default)

      2. Email

      3. Not at All

    2. Style

      1. Discord-esk (default)

      2. Developer-esk

    @Seth Rosenfeld:

    We are currently working on the design of the 'release notes' pop up which will appear every new client version for creators and users alike, but we can also create a 'release update newsletter' for authors who wish to receive this by email. Thanks for the comment, GG!

    This should include proper release notes with every release sent to every creator's email. New/changed functionality and bug fixes should be organized into sections so that individual creators can quickly find content changes relevant to them be they modders, modpack makers, resource pack creators, shader developers, etc.
