Currently we can add multiple mods from various authors to create masterful modpacks. I think it could be a great step forward to offer the same functionality to resource packs.
Whether an author would upload a full pack as they currently do and have it get automatically split into it's individual textures, or whether they upload them individually as they do with mods. It could be cool to be able to search "Oak Planks" maybe some more tags too as we have with mods, like realism or cartoon, and then pick from a selection uploaded to add to the resource pack you're building (as you would with a modpack). I imagine an option to add an entire collection of textures to a pack ("The wood Pack" which brings all the wood textures from an author into the pack you're building) but still allows you to fine tune easily within the launcher, so the average joe can do it.
Aside from the native benefits of being able to pick and choose what textures you want or think will suit your playstyle easily and quickly and in launcher with support to the relevant devs, I can see a number of other benefits, particularly relating to mods. If someone is able to make a texture for a single mod item/block, or even the entire mod, those textures can then be added into people's personal resourcepacks they build, and suddenly the concept of resource packs for mods is back on the table, as authors aren't under the impression they would have to make an entire resource pack in addition to the mod items/blocks.
Now I'm aware these are things that can be done already, I believe you can apply multiple resource packs together, but you could also put multiple mod jars in your mods folder without curseforge, but the desire for it to be managed within a launcher makes it so much more accessible to such a wider audience.
I don't think my idea or suggested implementation is perfect, but I think resourcepacks aren't being utilised as much as they could be within the curseforge landscape and I think this would be a really cool feature to not only bring it in, but boost the existing Resourcepack landscape.
