Disable Minecraft Modpack Updates (User preference)

Hello, I've loved using Curseforge to get awesome Minecraft modpacks and then customize them by adding additional mods to make them even better. Then I'll stop playing and come back a few months later to play again. I launch Curseforge and the modpack automatically updates causing perhaps changes in the forge version, the mod versions, or both. Then the additional mods I've added will be out of sync with the forge version or the other mods which causes the game to no longer load and often breaks my save that I put over a hundred hours into. This is an absolute tragedy and has been going on for years. I'm saying this has happened many times. It makes me rage-quit curseforge. So I'm putting in a request.

Feature request: Please add the option for the user to disable updates to the Minecraft modpack profile. This might go under profile options > advanced settings.

Desired function: When the user flipped the switch on the "automatically update profile/Modpack" from "on" to "off" then the next time the creator of the modpack pushes an update then the user's downloaded profile of that modpack will not update on their local machine. Thus the user may no longer fear any user-customizations to the modpack breaking their game.

you can already set it for all modpacks to not automatically update, located in (I think) game-specific settings. Since there is no reason ever to have automatic updates for modpacks imo then that is safe to do.
