Unlinking Resource Packs from Modpack Version (Minecraft)

Minecraft hasn't changed the way textures are handled between versions since 1.13, and modloaders all handle resource pack application in the same way.

I know this is a huge ask, given that the website has been managing these resource packs for years in this way, but I'm hoping that adding "Mismatched" resource packs could be simplified out of needing to use file explorer. Maybe a prompt that says "Hey, we've noticed an incongruent resource pack, if you notice visual bugs, disable these packs before debugging further."

There's plenty of one-off resource packs that have been made in the recent past, my best example being "Netherite Update - ArianSHy - 1.19.2," which would be compatible with all updates past the addition of netherite. To add it to a 1.20 modpack, I have to download it from the website, or port it from one of my old modpacks. I have about five of these packs that I consider to be my standard, but I have to manually add all of them despite them being hosted on Curse.

I know a solution would be to contact the creator directly about a port, but not all creators are active or compliant, and it wouldn't address the core of the issue- the files are here, but more inconvenient to access because their install is overprotected.
