Several times I have downloaded a Forge or Fabric mod, for it to crash repeatedly, only to find out the mod was for the counter version, not the one I intended. so perhaps a public tag system, where players of the community can suggest a tag for a mod or modpack, and after so many votes for it, it gains the tag. This would allow for better categorization.
