Alpha file should not be showed normally but there should be a way to be able to show them, maybe even a way to show only mod with certain file type (being able to slecet them as a thing you can select multiple off could be useful for this)
I agree that we need a way to make alpha releases searchable. I am working on modpacks with a group and we have a test of alpha testers that we have to manually send updates to constantly. It would be amazing if I could just release it as an alpha and let them find or or possibly restrict alpha's to specific users so that only m,y testing team could access it but its still on curse to make the updating process a lot easier
Seems like the user is requesting filtering mods by state type: Alpha, Beta, Release
Personally I think all the types should show up regardless. Currently CF doesn't show alphas until the mod author has released a beta or a release, at that point if another alpha shows up the alpha will be public.
Using that information, even I, when posting a mod for the first time, one that is clearly alpha, i'll release a beta, delete the beta, and then go back to releasing alphas. I want the community to know it's an alpha, but I also want them to play it and report back.
It is possible there are 1000's of mods where the author gave up because they didn't realize that an initial alpha release means no one will see it.
