Sometimes so little changes between Minecraft versions, that a mod is compatible for both the old and new one without the need of updating it. For example almost all if not all Minecraft 1.20 mods work on 1.20.1 without the need of changing anything in their code. However, a lot of mod authors uploaded the updated mod before 1.20.1, so it's listed as compatible with only 1.20 (while practically it would be compatible with 1.20.1 too) and we're unable to add these mods to 1.20.1 modpacks.
We should be allowed to add mods to our modpacks that don't match the version of the modpack, as the mods might often work with no problem at all.
Sadly, as a modpack creator, I am currently unable to update my modpack to 1.20.1 despite all the mods being compatible with 1.20, because I can't add many of them to my modpack.
I hope that this issue gets some kind of fix.
