Often I find myself scouring pages in the form of "https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/[modpack name here]/files/[most up to date]" trying to compare which pack has more of my favorite mods, or trying to find the differences in the included mods.
My first idea was to build my own tool for this. Scraping was my first try, then I found out there is an API, and I had no real success either way.
I'm hoping to be able to input 2 different modpacks, and get a response like
modpacks_share_mods: {stuff}
mods_only_in_modpack_A: {stuff}
mods_only_in_modpack_B: {stuff}
and possibly some other input asking if we want to differentiate by mod version as well. So, if both modpacks had a desired mod, I could see which modpack has the most up to date version of that mod
