Optimise WoW AddOns folder

I am quite positive about moving the app to Overwolf because maybe you can fix what Twitch wasn't able so far.

Namely to force the users to download and keep so much unnecessary data on their disks in order to get their addons updated by the app.

I'm talking about every and all modular addons that have plugins/modules included. They include various optional modules for different interests in a simple folder structure to allow the users to skip plugins they don't need.

Let me show you through a picture:

selected = trash data

This affects a wide variety of addons, including DBM, BigWigs, Bagnon, Dominos, Titan panel, Healbot (languages), PetTracker and many many more.

Initially, for each addon I just copied over only the module folders I need. (the unselected folders on the picture)

However this way the current App treats those addons as broken and offers only full reinstall (that bloats with all unnecessary modules). There's no way to update only the installed parts of an addon.

It would be very good if you could develop a way to make the app a little bit more "smart". At least to leave the missing plugin/module folders and update only the existing ones. that would be a good first step.

Thanks in advance!

    A toggler would be quite good as a workaround as it would reach the ultimate goal: To let users update the core addon with only the specific modules they need, WITHOUT installing all the other unnecessary/optional plugins that is included in the addon in separated folders.

    I'm not sure what you mean about this is controlled by addon authors, because what else could they do rather than put the addon's optional modules into the addon's zip file? Should they make dozens of standalone zips for each plugin just to let Overwolf app treat them to be separately toggled? That would be bad af. This function is especially controlled by the updater client in my opinion while the addon devs can't really do anything to get it done.

    Hey, thanks for you suggestion. I edited it a bit since i think it'll receive more attention and votes that way since you bring a good point.

    This is currently controlled from the author side, but is something that perhaps can also be toggled and customized using the client in the future.
    Do you think that would be beneficial as a workaround?
