Deleting a addon from CurseForge should prompt the user if they sure they wish to remove the addon.
Right now it just removes it with no confirmation which is unexpected standard UI behaviour.
We've changed this item into 'Shipped' as we delivered an "undo" option.
just move delete button to current refresh button place and refresh bitton to current delete button.
heySo after looking at this, we think we have a nifty solution that will be helpful, but not annoying. It requires a bit more work so it won't be fixed before Nov. 17th feature parity version we're releasing, but thanks for bringing this up and for the discussion here that brought to our attention that there should be several layers to this UX/UI.
If something like this is added, it must be opt-out-able. Deleting many mods or installing and removing mods to find what you like/is currently working would become cumbersome quickly.
I'd like to agree with this comment, but also suggest it's turned on by default, it's not necessarily trivial to undo a deletion if you click the button by accident and have a large list of addons/mods, it may take users time to figure out any mistakes, it is common in most systems that remove files to ask 'are you sure' - even rm -rf on linux is an example of this.
