Add an option to opt-out of the "Are you sure you want to leave?" pages when clicking external links. I clicked the link, YES I WANT TO VISIT IT.
Also, mod authors can put links into the pages' top menus that don't get a warning page. I see no reason to not also allow this for the mod and file descriptions. The page design already makes it clear who's responsible for those links. And a target=_blank wouldn't be a bad idea either.
Yeah, I would love for there to be an option to enable/disable the "Are you sure you want to leave," message.
RE: Zacharyhaving an option under profile settings that clearly states the risk of turning this off should be sufficient in warning users, but that's just my opinion. I'm no legal expert.I do agree that these "are you sure" pages should either be enirely removed or at least give users the option to turn them off in the settings page. Like OP said: "I clicked the link, YES I WANT TO VISIT IT." :P
I believe that this is done for legal reasons, but I could be wrong. Valve Corp also does it with Steam. Also possible is that this is to ensure that we are not directed to something we didn't want to visit, like another download site (possibly for malware).
